Hmm - there's always a draw back isn't there.... Seems that "ficidual recognition" doesn't work with this method. Ficidual Recognition is (if I remember right) getting the system to see objects other than your hands and to know what they are.... not sure why this would be the case but hey, I'm new to this.

Have you tested taking picture trough the TFT screen? How clearly blobs and forms are showing up for the camera?

I'm planning to do some way similiar system except I'm planning to use at least four cameras to get resolution better and size of the display smaller.

Hi,

I tested it by pointing a remote control through the TFT matrix at my modified camera - it picked up the light from the remote without any problems - infact, it looked like the presence of the TFT made no real difference to the detection (I imagine that it probably does but software calibration would probably take care of it).

Incidentally, at the time I did the test - the TFT matrix was displaying the XP desktop from the laptop.....

I've not got the acrylic sheet stage proper yet - think i'm going to replace my camera with a proper modified one instead of the one I'm doing "testing" with.
